FOX Weather Streaming Service To Launch in Q3 2021

FOX Weather is a new AVOD streaming service set to launch in the third quarter of 2021. The streamer will leverage the more than 75 meteorologists at FOX owned & operated stations. In addition, FOX News Channel’s newsgathering resources will be tapped into. The service will cover local, regional and national weather in addition to live programming.

The weather service, part of FOX News Media, announced the leadership team. David Clark is the Senior Vice President and Head of Programming for FOX Weather. Clark was part of the FOX News launch team in the 90s. Steve Baron joins FOX Weather from Local Media Association. Baron will be VP Digital Product & Strategy.

Mike McClain will serve as Senior VP and General Manager is addition to his current role as Senior VP and GM at FOX’s Orlando stations. Dianne Doctor will lead talent recruiting, development and programming initiatives as VP of Programming Development. Tim Gaughan and Deante Parker round out the team. Gaughan is VP of News Operations and Parker is Director & Head of Video Operations and Audience Development.

FOX Weather sets up to be similar to WeatherNation, another OTT weather service available on Pluto. However, FOX’s offering will have the strength of weather experts in their local markets.
