FOX News Media announces special coverage of the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The week long event will culminate Friday September 10 and Sunday September 11. Furthermore, expect themed packages and relevant guest interviews.
Coverage will kickoff Sunday, September 5 at 10 PM/ET with Bill Hemmer’s Lost Calls of 9/11 Hemmer will spotlight the story of a Houston man who purchased a piece of used computer equipment. The man didn’t know that it contained 103 never-heard-before calls. Furthermore, the calls are from a trading room floor across the street from the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11th, 2001.
Here’s the line-up for September 10:
- FNC will begin the day with a special edition of FOX & Friends (Weekdays, 6-9 AM/ET). Pete Hegseth, a former infantry Captain in the Army National Guard, will offer contributions on the ground live from lower Manhattan at a location overlooking the National September 11th Memorial at Ground Zero.
- FNC’s America’s Newsroom (Weekdays, 9-11AM/ET) co-anchors Dana Perino and Bill Hemmer will host their program live from lower Manhattan.
- At 11 AM/ET, anchor Harris Faulkner will host a special edition of The Faulkner Focus featuring NYPD officers sharing their perspective on the monumental anniversary. FNC’s The Story at 3 PM/ET with anchor and executive editor Martha MacCallum will also broadcast live from lower Manhattan. Additional contributions will be made by correspondents Eric Shawn from the National September 11th Memorial at Ground Zero, Jennifer Griffin at the Pentagon and Peter Doocy from the White House.
On Saturday, September 11, FNC will air moments of silence corresponding to the times of the attacks 20 years ago. Additionally, FOX & Friends Weekend will air 6-10 AM/ET. Meanwhile, special editions of America’s Newsroom, Cavuto Live and FOX News Live will all present their respective programs from lower Manhattan.
The Five will air live from Citi Field ahead of the Mets-Yankees game. Former Mets manager Bobby Valentine and catcher Mike Piazza will be co-hosts. The retired catcher and manager were both with the team in 2001.
Streamer FOX Nation will also release new content in honor of 9/11. For example, I Can Hear You: President Bush at Ground Zero, hosted by Martha MacCallum, premieres on September 10th. The program focuses on President George W. Bush’s visit to Ground Zero days after the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001.
Meanwhile, FOX Audio will launch a seven-part podcast series called FOX News Rewind: 9/11. Furthermore, FOX News Radio will broadcast live coverage on September 11.
