The New York Times Wins 21 POYi Awards –  The Times won 21 Pictures of the Year International Awards, which recognize excellence in photojournalism, multimedia and visual editing. They did outstanding work capturing the “epicenter of the epicenter” of the pandemic in New York in 2020. [NYT]

Avatar, with a re-release, overtakes Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame as the biggest grossing movie of all time – Marvel tips their hat to Avatar…it’s a love fest:

As BoxOfficePro reports: “Avatar has returned to the global box office summit with $2.802 billion through Saturday, eclipsing Avengers: Endgame‘s $2.797 billion. The Marvel Studios film previously set the all-time worldwide record back in July 2019.”

Nielsen and KYPK and KWYT Yakima stations today announced an agreement under which Nielsen will provide the Spanish-language stations with local TV measurement services. Hispanavisión, LLC owns stations KWYT and KYPK, which are affiliated with Estrella TV and Azteca America networks, respectively. [Nielsen]
