WGN America is now NewsNation. Nexstar Media Group rebranded the network and launched news programming to five hours on weeknights. The three new shows started today, March 1.
NewsNation Early Edition, The Donlon Report and Banfield join the lineup today.
NewsNation Early Edition
The show airs weenights 6pm-7pm EST. Nichole Berlie anchors the news show that will allow you to “start your evening informed and in the know.”
The Donlon Report
This new show will air weeknights 7pm-8pm EST. Host Joe Donlon will “tap into a common sense point of view when it comes to the most pressing and interesting issues and stories of the day.” Donlon promises to dive into news, sports, entertainment and culture.
Banfield
Banfield will round out every weeknight from 10pm-11pm EST. Expect coverage of the day’s top news stories. And host Ashleigh Banfield will interview newsmakers, politicians and celebrities.
Banfield says her talk format with harken back to Larry King’s style and let the guest be the star.
