Zack Snyder’s Justice League Has Color and Flickering Issues On Some Sony Bravia TVs

Owners of certain Sony Bravia TVs who are settling in to watch Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max are running into problems. Within the first chapter of the movie, the picture will start to change colors. It looks like a color filter changes every few seconds. Needless to say, it makes the film unwatchable.

According to Redditors on the Bravia subreddit, there is an issue with viewing certain Dolby Vision content on some Sony Bravia TVs, such as the X900F. As owners of the X900F, we can confirm this. However, we haven’t experienced issues viewing Dolby Vision content on this TV in the past.

According to other Redditors, some users have had problems with Dolby Vision content on Netflix. Also, other TV brands are reported to have issues with Justice League. For example, Redditors reported having a similar issue with their Vizios and LG sets.

One suggestion was to clear the cache in the HBO Max app on the TV. Also to then do a hard restart of the TV. That seems to work.

The other work around is to abandon trying to use the HBO Max app on the TV and stream from your mobile phone. Casting to the X900F from our phone worked successfully also.
