There are similar trends for live music performances. 47% of adults now say they are likely to attend a live concert outdoors this Summer. That’s up from 39% a month earlier. In addition, 36% now say they are likely to see a live concert indoors. We’re seeing indoor concert venues, like The Anthem in Washington, DC build an impressive late Summer and Fall lineup.

Moviegoers Are Excited

Back to movie theaters, Fandango released results of its most recent “Return to Theaters Study”. That survey was completed by 4,000 movie ticket buyers. Results showed 76% of moviegoers indicated that theater safety policies made their experience more enjoyable. That includes things like enhanced cleaning measures and contactless ticketing.

“Moviegoing has taken a hard hit during the pandemic, but theater chains have done an excellent job implementing new safety features so that moviegoers can return to the cinema with confidence. Our study shows that exhibitors’ hard work has paid off, with moviegoers thrilled to be back in theaters and excited for summer movie season.”

Furthermore, 64% of these movie ticket buyers said they plan to see five or more movies in theaters this Summer.

Don’t Sleep on Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’

While many media reports recently declared F9 as the watershed moment in which we see a return to somewhat normalcy, ‘Black Widow’ is also anticipated. In fact, the Scarlett Johansson spy thriller is the #1 movie Fandango ticket buyers are most excited about.
