Teagan Croft will portray teenage Australian Jessica Watson in a true story Netflix film. The sixteen year old became the youngest person to sail solo, non-stop and unassisted around the world. She accomplished her voyage in 2010, navigating difficult oceans for 210 days. Most importantly, Watson will consult on the Netflix production.
Croft portrays “Raven” in Titans on HBO Max. That show is based on the DC Comics characters.
“I’m beyond excited to be joining Jessica Watson and Ella’s Pink Lady on their voyage! Jessica’s story has inspired me and is one that is universally inspiring, and I’m honoured to be a part of telling it.”

Sarah Spillane is directing. She is also a writer, along with Cathy Randall. They based their words on Jessica Watson’s best selling book, True Spirit. Debra Martin Chase, Susan Cartsonis and Andrew Fraser are producers.
“Jessica’s story is one of courage, skill and resilience, against all odds and at times grave danger, and for that reason I believe True Spirit will strike a chord with audiences across Australia and the world.”
