“We are thrilled to give horror fans the opportunity to gather together and celebrate the 40th anniversary of Sam Raimi’s cult classic ‘THE EVIL DEAD”. Let’s kick off the Halloween season with the film that started an amazing franchise.”

Fathom Events and Grindhouse Releasing are behind bringing the Raimi directed film to cinemas once again. Additionally, Lionsgate Home Entertainment will be releasing a collectible box set of The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, and all three seasons of Ash Vs. Evil Dead in fall 2021.
Here is a quick synopsis of the film:
In the first installment of Sam Raimi’s famed original “The Evil Dead” trilogy, Ash (Campbell), his girlfriend Linda (Betsy Baker), his sister Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss), and couple Scotty (Hal Delrich) and Shelly (Sarah York), drive to a remote cabin in the woods for a fun getaway. While there, they find the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis (aka “The Book of the Dead”), an ancient tome whose text reawakens the dead when read out loud. After unintentionally releasing a flood of evil, the five friends must fight for their lives or become possessed.
Meanwhile, Grindhouse Releasing also has a nice selection of Evil Dead merchandise available. Moreover, their online shop has face masks and shirts.
Bruce Campbell Is Ready to Celebrate
Campbell tells Entertainment Weekly that this is a good opportunity to look back and be grateful that it hung around this long. People still seem to want to watch it, they still seem to enjoy it. It’s on to the next generation now. It’s not even the original fans. Their children have been introduced to it now.”
Furthermore, Campbell says he will be featured in the upcoming Evil Dead video game. That title is set for a February 2022 release.
“The nice thing is, your voice doesn’t age as much as your body, so I can milk that for a few more years. I’ve got to say, I’m pleasantly surprised by the game,” Campbell told EW.
Rumors are swirling about a Bruce Campbell appearance in Marvel’s Doctor Strange 2, also directed by Raimi. Campbell says, “I would say that’s a pretty good rumor. I think that won’t get me sued. That’s a pretty good rumor, yeah.”
