ViacomCBS announced a change at the top of Paramount Pictures on Monday. Brian Robbins has been appointed President and CEO of the studio. In addition, he will maintain his current responsibilities leading Nickelodeon. Furthermore, Paramount Chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos will serve in an advisory role though the end of 2021.
Robbins will assume oversight of films produced for Paramount+ as well as continue to be responsible for kids and family content globally for the streaming service.
Furthermore, Paramount Television Studios (PTVS) will now become part of the premium network group under the leadership of David Nevins, Chairman and CEO, Showtime Networks. To be clear, this move brings together the divisions’ premium scripted content capabilities. In addition, Nicole Clemens will continue to lead PTVS as President. Clemens will report directly to Nevins.

Robbins told CNBC’s Squawk Box in August that he was excited about the momentum around Paramount+, the streaming platform. He said they wanted to build direct to consumer relationships with audiences around their biggest franchises like PAW Patrol.
