2020 NBA season documentary “Game Change Game” is set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 14, 2022. THINK450, the “Innovation Engine” of the National Basketball Players Association produced the film. THINK450 focues on shared interests between players and brands. Furthermore, the film had unprecedented access to NBA players in the “bubble”. More so, a social justice reckoning plays out around the world in the film.
“This film came to life in the wake of the social justice reckoning triggered by the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and countless others. As the players were inspired to use their voices to call for justice, we were inspired to create this film to amplify the united response of the 450 basketball players of the NBA and keep the calls for justice ever present.”
Christina Norman, THINK450’s head of content and producer of the film
The film combines personal footage shot by NBA players with interviews. Featured interview participants include CJ McCollum, Andre Iguodala, JaVale McGree and Tobias Harris. NBA legends Julius Erving, Oscar Robertson and Jerry West also feature.
Spike Jordan and Maxime Quoilin directed the basketball documentary. Jordan calls the film “both timeless and timely.” Furthermore, Quolin hails his movie as “an emotional rollercoaster” and “important to watch.”
