Hans Zimmer Live Performance Delayed in Oakland Thursday Night

Before 9PM Thursday night, Oakland Arena shared an “Event Advisory” before the scheduled Hans Zimmer Live performance. The Oakland, California venue simply said “We are currently experiencing a delay and more information will be share shortly.”

By 9:30PM, the arena posted on social media: “Thank you for your patience. Parking and entry gates have now reopened.” The concert was originally scheduled to start at 7:30PM. Meanwhile, concert-goers were stuck outside in a traffic jam.

Some Hans Zimmer fans gave up. William Lam reported the he arrived at 7PM at the exit and waited 1 and a half hours.

Others, like Beto Medrano, waited it out and was ready for the show to start. Medrano says the “bomb squad cleared” the Oakland Arena.

Luckily, there was food and drink available for fans waiting inside Oakland Arena.

Food options include Chicken Tenders & Fries, Brisket Smash Burger, Hot Dogs and Nachos. Draft Beer, Wine, Soda and Water were your beverage choices.

Hans Zimmer Live star Tina Guo reported all issues resolved and thanked fans for their patience.

The tour has had at least one other glitch recently. Hans Zimmer fell ill with pneumonia and was forced to cancel his Baltimore, Maryland performance on September 13. Fortunately, Zimmer recovered and didn’t have to disrupt the tour otherwise.

Zimmer and his traveling musicians will wrap up the North America leg of their tour with shows in Los Angeles on October 11 and Las Vegas the following night.
