Filming for the Tetris biopic is underway. The streets of Glasgow have been turned into Soviet era Moscow. The Glasgow Times caught leading man Taron Egerton amidst the filming on Morrison Street. Egerton is playing a Dutch video game enterpreneur Henk Rogers. Rogers battled to gain global rights to Tetris on video game consoles.
Other images show extras wearing Soviet era military on the streets taking part in filming.
Apple announced in November that “Tetris: The Movie” would be part of its premium film lineup. Jon S. Baird (“Stan & Ollie”, “Filth”) is directing. Matthew Vaughn is producing.

The drama tells the compelling story of the creation of Tetris born from the imagination of computer programmer Alexey Pajitnov, during the fall of the Iron curtain in the USSR. Egerton will play Dutch-born video game entrepreneur Henk Rogers who secured the global rights to distribute Tetris on video game consoles.”
Expect the film to be released by 2022 by Apple.
