Rock music fans from the 2000s will be excited to see two classics get reimagined. Both songs are available today to stream online.
First up is Used To Be. Steve Aoki and Kiiara reimagine the Matchbox Twenty hit Unwell. Also, Wiz Khalifa is featured on the track. Unwell was released in 2002 but hit it’s peak #1 position on the Billboard charts on May 3, 2003. It spent 55 weeks on the chart.
The original song was also nominated for Best Pop Performance at the Grammy Awards.
Matchbox 20’s Rob Thomas will be on Instagram live March 19 at 7PM/EST to celebrate the new track. Steve Aoki, Kiiara and Wiz Khalifa will join Rob on the stream.
Next up is Blasterjaxx and Dr Phunk’s reimagined version of 3 Doors Down’s 2002 hit Here Without You. According to the Blasterjaxx, the track has existed for 2 years but is just now getting an official release.
Blasterjaxx and Dr Phunk shared producing and programming on the new song. It is an energetic take on the 3 Doors Down original. That original spent 30 weeks on the Billboard charts. It peaked at #3 on October 25, 2003.
