Fortnite just dropped a late October treat for horror fans: the breakout star of the year’s biggest indie horror smash arrives to the Shop tonight.
Curry Barker’s Obsession — the micro-budget wish-gone-wrong thriller that became a box-office phenomenon earlier this year — will cross over into the battle royale game. The film’s unforgettable character Nikki, played by Inde Navarrette, is confirmed to be available in the Fortnite Shop. Expect a Nikki outfit, special emote, One Wish Willow backbling and Nikki’s Broken Bottle pickaxe.
Navarrette was actively involved in getting her character, Nikki Freeman, added to Fortnite.
Before starring in the film, Navarrette was an avid video game fan who frequently streamed Fortnite on Twitch. When the Fortnitemares 2026 collaboration was officially announced, she appeared in the official reveal video posted by Epic Games. In the promo, she holds the film’s cursed “One Wish Willow” prop and makes a wish to get her character added to the game. This brilliantly leaned directly into her history as a long-time Fortnite player.
Other Halloween themed crossovers with Fortnite coming this week include Beetlejuice and The Slender Man.
