Yeezy is Back on a Retail Calendar

JD Sports posted a teaser tagged “YZY AT JD 10 15 2026,” and its release calendar listed the black Yeezy Slide for October 15 at 10 a.m. EDT. Apparently, it could be an online only drop.

JD Sports is the distribution Ye lost when Adidas walked. The retailer is the exclusive retail partner for the independent Yeezy footwear line, separate from anything still floating around from the old Adidas deal. The first drop landed August 13, online and in stores, with five models. The lead was the YS-01, the original molded one-piece slide, at $44. That is well under the old Adidas retail of about $90, and only a few dollars above the $40 Ye had settled on after a brief $20 direct-to-consumer price proved unsustainable. Alongside it: the sleeker YS-02 slip-on at $56, the chunkier mesh-and-suede BL-01 at $108, the perforated AQ-01 water-shoe style, and a women’s HL-02. Slides sold out in minutes. JD followed with a quick in-store restock. Apparel has not shown up on the site or in stores.

ComplexCon was the Preview for the Next Silhouette

The convention’s 10th anniversary ran October 3–4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Ye did not run a booth. He used the floor and the main stage.

On Sunday, October 4, he opened Playboi Carti’s headlining set with three songs: “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” from Graduation, then “Carnival,” then “Off the Grid.” Carti, a co-artistic director of the event, spent the weekend in unreleased Yeezy head to toe. In a fit check with ChrisTooSmoove he kept answering “Season 12” when asked what he was wearing.

The product moment was the Yeezy 800, first teased in August and left out of the JD batch. It is a low-top in the trail and retro-running lane: rugged outsole, ballistic mesh, nubuck and synthetic overlays, and a new forefoot panel that splits into several curves. The debut pair was all black. In early August Ye posted four pastel colorways in blues, greens, yellow and grey, a sharper break from the earth-tone Adidas years. At ComplexCon, former Yeezy head of design Gosha Rubchinskiy wore the yellow-and-grey pair. Ye and the rest of the group were in other Yeezy models. Don C shot the video. No price or date has been set. Reporting still points to holiday 2026, and the 800 is the first independent shoe named in the old numerical style rather than the YS/BL/AQ codes, which is being read as a flagship play.

Offstage, Ye was spotted talking at Kai Cenat’s VIVET booth. North West was also on the floor. Women’s Wear Daily’s street-style roundup listed both among the anniversary crowd, alongside Travis Barker, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz and Quavo.

The split is deliberate. What JD can fulfill right now is the cheap slide. What Ye put on people at ComplexCon is the shoe that has not been priced yet.
