Brit Presenter Piers Morgan Says Cricket Player Tops Tom Brady

Piers Morgan, Good Morning Britain presenter, says Tom Brady doesn’t fit in his Top 10 list of athletes. Morgan makes his case in a new piece written for the Daily Mail today.

Morgan gives Brady some credit. He says the Bucs QB’s run is “extraordinary and admirable” but is Tom the GOAT? “No chance,” according to the Brit presenter.

In fact, Morgan touts San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana over Brady. “For me, Brady’s not even the greatest NFL star of all time – that accolade goes to Joe Montana. Even Brady has admitted that Montana ‘is in a league of his own,” says the former Celebrity Apprentice.

The former CNN host does give credit to several other American athletes. Tiger Woods is #6 on his list. Muhammed Ali ranks #3. Michael Jordan is second. Someone needs to tell Piers about the Jumpman’s failed Washington Wizards campaign. Contrasted to a similarily aged Tom Brady moving to Tampa Bay, Jordan’s late career exploits don’t compare.

Who is #1 on the Piers Morgan top ten? Why, it’s Sir Donald Bradman, Australian cricket player.

Sir Donald Bradman

Morgan touts Sir Donald as “indisputably the greatest sportsmen to ever live.” He points to the cricket stars’ final international batting average of 99.94 runs per inning, a full 38 runs above the next highest player.
