Lark-Marie Antón joins top U.S. newspaper company this week as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications. The role overseas external and internal communications. Antón will help tell the story of the “critical work being done across the organization to help communities and businesses thrive.”
The newspaper firm says Antón joins from a company called Aura. She oversaw the launch of the company’s brand and “successfully united a portfolio of products and businesses with a shared vision.”

She will be called on to share how Gannett is focusing on becoming what they call a “subscription-led content organization.” So far, The New York Times is the one legacy company that has most successfully transitioned to what their CEO calls a “digital first and subscription first company.” The Times’ Meredith Kopit Levien keyed in on the wanting to scale on the idea that people will pay for quality content and journalism.
