FanDuel Group and the Associated Press announced a deal today to use the sports-tech entertainment company’s sports odds. The AP will only use FanDuel sports odds as part of the agreement. FanDuel odds are live now within AP content.
FanDuel Sportsbook odds will show up in the AP’s daily sports odds, game previews and any other stores where odds are mentioned. Furthermore, the AP will distribute FanDuel content across their wire.
“As sports betting becomes more commonplace, our customers are increasingly asking for this kind of information. It makes sense to work with one of the largest reputable sportsbooks in the United States to provide a consistent, credible reference point for AP and its customers.”
Barry Bedlan, AP’s global director of text and new markets products
“AP is a globally recognized leader in trusted news making them the ideal source for us to disseminate our industry-leading sportsbook’s proprietary odds and content.”
Adam Kaplan, FanDuel Group’s general manager and vice president of content
Deals between content producers and sports betting firms continue to heat up. For example, Sinclair rebranded its regional Fox Sports networks under the banner of Bally Sports earlier this year. Bally’s Corp. is a casino operator. In addition, local newspaper companies are seeking sports betting partners.
Meanwhile, DraftKings has been going on content purchasing spree. It acquired Vegas Information Network in March. In April, it signed free agent Dan Le Batard and will distribute his show across platforms.
