Rhode Island Suburban Newspapers bought The Block Island Times newspaper from CCC Media. RISN is a privately owned operator of newspapers in the state of Rhode Island. The Block Island Times was founded in 1970 by Publisher Dan Rattiner and Editor Margaret Cabell Self. Furthermore, the Times publishes weekly.

Dirks, Van Essen & April, a media merger and acquisition firm based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, represented CCC Media in the transaction. Terms were not disclosed. Furthermore, the deal was official February 1, 2022.
