Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones opened 19 years ago today- May 16, 2002. The George Lucas directed movie had a budget of $115 million. Episode II opened in 3,161 theaters and made over $80 million in its opening frame. The second movie in the trilogy went on to make $302.2 million domestically and $645.3 million worldwide.
