TikTok launches #CreateKindness, a global safety campaign and creative video series – The social app says they are continuing to encourage everyone to use kindness in their everyday lives. They are highlighting six creator-animators who they’ve partnered with to bring the effort to life.

The social app highlighted Edmond Anirah (@recokh). Edmond is an animator who combines humor and music in his art.

Nexstar Media Names James Baronet Vice President and General Manager of Its Topeka, Kansas, Media Operations – Nexstar today announced the appointment of James Baronet as Vice President and General Manager of its broadcast and digital operations in Topeka, Kansas (DMA #142). Mr. Baronet will be responsible for overseeing Nexstar’s KSNT-TV (NBC) and KTMJ-TV (FOX), as well as the Company’s operational agreements with Vaughan Media, Inc., providing services to KTKA-TV (ABC/CW). Mr. Baronet will begin his new duties immediately and report to Julie Pruett, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Nexstar Media Inc.’s broadcasting division.

NexStreaming releases NexPlayer for Nintendo Switch – NexPlayer and Nintendo have joined forces to port the popular NexPlayer SDK into Nintendo Switch, making possible HLS and DASH streaming inside Nintendo Switch apps. OTT providers will be able to offer their Live & VOD video services to almost 80 million users worldwide and gaming publishers will be able to include exciting video contents inside their Nintendo Switch games.

HBO To Debut Documentary Series CATCH AND KILL: THE PODCAST TAPES –  The six-part, half-hour documentary series directed by Emmy winners Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato (HBO’s “Carrie Fisher: Wishful Drinking”) and produced by World of Wonder, brings to life Ronan Farrow’s intimate, revealing interviews with whistleblowers, journalists, private investigators and other sources, conducted for the Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist’s podcast and bestselling book “Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies and A Conspiracy to Protect Predators.” 

The series premieres with two episodes on Monday, July 12 (9-10pm ET/PT). New episodes will air subsequent Mondays. Catch it on HBO and streaming on HBO Max.
