Joey King and Brad Pitt started the Bullet Train promo tour in Paris today. A photocall at Bateau L’Excellence, Port Debilly was the scene. Director David Leitch joined the stars at the beginning of a campaign to sell the film to moviegoers.
Here is a quick synopsis of the Sony Pictures production:
In Bullet Train, Brad Pitt stars as Ladybug, an unlucky assassin determined to do his job peacefully after one too many gigs gone off the rails. Fate, however, may have other plans, as Ladybug’s latest mission puts him on a collision course with lethal adversaries from around the globe—all with connected, yet conflicting, objectives—on the world’s fastest train. The end of the line is just the beginning in this non-stop thrill-ride through modern-day Japan from David Leitch, the director of Deadpool 2.
In addition to Pitt and King, the cast includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Sandra Bullock and Michael Shannon. Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, known professionally as Bad Bunny, also features in Bullet Train.
The Paris Photo Call
Pitt, King, Henry and Taylor-Johnson joined director David Leitch in Paris. Kelly McCormick, producer, was also on hand. Leitch’s other films have included Deadpool 2 and 2017’s Atomic Blonde. Furthermore, the auteur hemled 2019’s Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw.
Joey King shared some photos pre-photo call via Instagram on Saturday. The star of The Princess wore an all black ensemble with a chain lock necklace.
Other Promo
Sony has ramped up promotion for the film. One New York City subway rider caught an underground ad campaign for Bullet Train. Brad Pitt’s visage adorned the side of a New York City subway car. Not exactly a bullet train, but appropriate.
A variety of artistic posters have also been created.
Finally, Bullet Train will be available exclusively in theaters August 5. In addition, Sony will feature the film in IMAX and other premium large formats.
