Paul Walker’s brother, Cody, introduced the new 2023 Nissan Z sports car. Cody was the host of the live stream from New York City on August 17, 2021. Furthermore, the self described “car guy”, discussed the impact Paul made on car culture. The late star and heart of the ‘Fast and the Furious’ franchise was connected with several Nissan cars throughout his run in the franchise.
The new Z features a 400-hp twin turbo V6 engine. Also, the iconic Z design language of a long hood, short deck and wide stance. Furthermore, a redesigned cockpit includes a new digital gauge cluster. In addition, a 9″ center touch-screen display.
Paul was also an auto enthusiast off screen. In fact, he even visited Mine’s Motorsports in Japan. He drove a Nissan GT-R as part of that experience. As he gets the GT-R up to speed, Paul remarks “that’s music to my ears” as the engine revs up.
Additionally, Paul drove a Nissan 370Z in “Fast Five”. Furthermore, the actor also drove several flavors of GT-R’s in several of the “Fast” franchise films.
During the Nissan Z presentation, Cody talked about Paul’s Reach Out WorldWide nonprofit organization. ROWW is a nonprofit founded in 2010 by Paul that helps bring first responders to disaster areas to augment local relief efforts.
Furthermore, Cody discussed FuelFest, which is scheduled for December 4, 2021. FuelFest is headed to Phoenix, Arizona at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. The event is hosted by Cody Walker and blends the enthusiast’s passion for the automotive world with live music, auto racing, and art. A portion of FuelFest proceeds will benefit Reach Out WorldWide.
Nissan Star Power
Cody Walker isn’t the only famous face promoting Nissan. Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson, is the main Nissan celebrity endorser. Furthermore, Larson has appeared in several generations of Nissan Z.
Will we see the Avengers star appear in advertising for the new 2023 Nissan Z? It seems like a natural fit.
