Star Power and Spectacular Moments
This year’s Kids’ Choice Awards truly put kids and families in control, celebrating their favorite TV shows, movies, music, and creators. Host Tyla kicked off the show with a sensational “Best of Summer” dance celebration, getting everyone grooving to the hottest tracks.

Tyla – Show Opening:
Some of the night’s most talked-about moments included:
- Skateboarding Legends Live! Tony Hawk and Katelyn West wowed the crowd with an on-stage stunt before presenting an award to the cast of The Thundermans: Undercover. Jack Griffo and Kira Kosarin then celebrated their “Favorite Male/Female TV Star (Kids)” wins with a massive, well-deserved Sliming!
- Rihanna’s Historic “ICON” Award: A true career milestone! Rihanna made history as the first-ever recipient of the “ICON” Silver Blimp Award, recognized for her immense contributions to entertainment, beauty, and activism. Her acceptance from inside a magical Smurf Village was followed by a never-before-seen tidal wave of blue Slime!
- Jack Black, King of Comedy: The legendary Jack Black was honored with a special “King of Comedy” Silver Blimp. Presented by his Nacho Libre co-stars Ana de la Reguera and Héctor Jiménez, the moment was met with thunderous applause and a hilarious double Sliming.
- Musical Mayhem and Slime: High-energy performances from mgk and KATSEYE brought down the house, each culminating in epic canon Slimings that thrilled the audience.
- A World of Difference: Nickelodeon Our World shined a spotlight on Los Angeles kids and how skateboarding has empowered them to build community and develop lifelong skills.
- Fan-Voted Adventures: SeanDoesMagic teleported to the Mall of America, letting the audience vote live on his next ride, and the Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado stars Samantha Lorraine and Jacob Rodriguez searched the venue for Dora’s missing Backpack, with the audience voting for its location.
- The Ultimate Slime Finale: Tyla herself closed out the show with an ultimate centerstage Sliming, ensuring everyone got their fill of Nickelodeon’s signature green goo!
