A brain aneurysm is rare but serious, according to the Mayo Clinic. It is a weakness in a blood vessel in the brain that balloons and fills with blood. Key symptom is a sudden, severe headache. It becomes life threatening when the aneurysm ruptures.

Dr. Dre founded Beats by Dr. Dre in 2006 with Jimmy Iovine. The company was eventually acquired by Apple in July 2014.

The music, business and sports worlds are responding with outpouring of well wishes.
