New Chrome Browser Promises Performance Upgrades – Google introduced their final Chrome release of 2020 on Tuesday. This month’s update promises to be “faster to start, faster to load and way more battery life.” The address bar also now allows you to do more, such giving commands to edit passwords or delete history. Finally, for those of us who work with dozens of Chrome tabs open, Google has added the ability to search tabs. [Google]

Testing Out the New Apple M1 Macs – “These three new systems, the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac Mini, speed past their predecessors, but not without some caveats for early adopters” [CNET]

New Report Reveals Huge Gap in Diverse CMO Hires – “The marketing industry remains plagued by a lack of diversity in top-level jobs, with just 12% of chief marketing officer positions filled by Black, Hispanic or Asian people, according to a new study from the Association of National Advertisers.” [Ad Age]

Conan O’Brien plans to end talk show hosting run after 28 years, lines up HBO Max series – “On Tuesday, WarnerMedia announced that Conan will officially end with the season 10 finale in June 2021. Beginning in 2021, O’Brien will get his own weekly variety series for the HBO Max streaming platform.” [EW]

Ubisoft shares climb this morning after a record launch for its latest Assassin’s Creed game – “Shares of Ubisoft climbed on Wednesday after the French video game maker announced that first-week sales of its new Assassin’s Creed title outstripped that of any other launch in the popular franchise’s history.” [CNBC]
