Movies Theaters Aren’t Dead – IPIC Theaters is opening a nine-screen, 426 Seat theater today in Atlanta’s Midtown mixed use destination called Colony Square. The Square is a 50 year old property undergoing a $400 million redevelopment. Early next year, IPIC will open a 6,635-square foot bar and restaurant next door called Serena Pastifico.

IPIC is one of the pioneers of the dine-in theater concept. This includes seat side dining and leather recliners. [IPIC]

Sony/ATV Promotes Antony Bebawi to President, Global Digital – In his new role, Bebawi will oversee Sony/ATV’s worldwide digital licensing strategies and managing the Sony/ATV digital team. He will be responsible for building and maintaining positive commercial relationships with digital service partners across the globe [Sony/ATV]

Walking Dead crossover with Fortnite – Epic Games’ Fortnite sees the arrival of Daryl Dixon and Michonne of the Walking Dead television show. They are part of the “Survivor in Arms” set. This bounty hunter focused season has already seen Halo’s Master Chief make his way into the game as a skin. Kratos, of Sony’s God of War series, also has been available for purchase within the game. Apple in Talks to Pick Up Skydance Animated Movies – The first two animated movies from Skydance, Luck and Spellbound, are heading to Apple. [THR]

Alliance for Audited Media Surveys Clients – AAM, the outfit that audits newspaper circulation, recently surveyed 60 media company respondents on how their business fared in 2020. 68% of their respondents said their media products saw growth in digital subscriptions. More than half saw a decrease in print subscriptions. 79% lost advertising clients this year. [AAM]
