“Why we may never know how many people watched Wonder Woman 1984 on HBO Max” – There isn’t independent 3rd party measurement of HBO Max, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They say Nielsen provides some transparency with its top 10 weekly rankings by total minutes viewed. However, they only measure Netflix, Disney+, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video. [THR]

Peter Doocy named Fox News White House Correspondent – Doocy will begin his new role covering President Joe Biden’s administration on Inauguration Day (January 20). Kristin Fisher will continue her role as White House correspondent. Doocy covered President-elect Joe Biden’s presidential campaign since April 2019.

“Investors Push Home Depot and Omnicom to Steer Ads From Misinformation” – “Shareholders in Home Depot and the advertising giant Omnicom have filed resolutions asking the companies to investigate whether the money they spent on advertisements may have helped spread hate speech and misinformation.” “Companies have struggled in recent years to reach potential customers while making sure their online ads do not appear close to dubious, salacious or potentially harmful content.” [NYT]

“Your Movie Is About to Be…Delayed, Again” – A bunch of movies that were set for theatrical release in February, March or April 2021 are being postponed or sold to streaming services. WSJ reports that execs expect such reshuffling through the summer movie season. No Time to Die, Sony’s new Cinderella and Disney’s The King’s Man are all under threat to be bumped.

James Murdoch blasts US media for unleashing ‘insidious forces’ – The Financial Times reported that Rupert Murdoch’s youngest son “castigated the US media for the ‘toxic politics’ threatening American democracy.” [FT]
