FOX News Channel is launching a new weekend slate of programming June 5-6, 2021. Trey Gowdy will host a 7 PM/ET Sunday evening show. Additionally, Dan Bongino is set to present a primetime Saturday show at 10 PM/ET. Also, the The Big Saturday and The Big Sunday Show are being added to the schedule permanently.
Trey Gowdy is a former South Carolina Congressman and prosecutor. His Sunday evening show premieres June 6 at 7PM/ET. Fox says Gowdy “will utilize his signature mixture of wisdom, humor, historical references and insight analysis to offer the audience a new outlook on the latest issues facing the country.”
FOX promises that Gowdy’s new show will offer “timely, solution-oriented interviews” with decision makers and DC insiders. The former Congressman will shine a light on original stories of triumph and success from across the country. Gowdy will “highlight why Americans should be optimistic about the future.”
FOX News contributor and former U.S. Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino will also join the FOX News weekend primetime lineup as the host of a new 10 PM/ET program launching June 5. His show replaces Greg Gutfeld in the weekend time slot. Gutfeld’s new weeknight 11 PM/ET show premiered with record ratings.
Bongino will “tackle the week’s most pressing headlines, drawing on his experiences as a former law enforcement official to discuss Americans’ top priorities: liberty, security and their families.”
The former Secret Service agent will also highlight community heroes like veterans and police officers. Bongino joined FOX News in 2019 as a contributor.
The Big Saturday Show and The Big Sunday Show, air from 5-6 PM/ET on each respective day. These one-hour ensemble programs will feature a rotating group of panelists. Expect a mix of FOX News personalities discussing and debating hot topics. Think The Five and Outnumbered inspired weekend programming.
