We Look at Wendy’s ‘Rick and Morty’ Restaurant Pop-Up

Wendy’s ‘Rick & Morty’ restaurant pop-up provided a custom fan drive-thru experience. This tied in with the hit series fifth season premiere on Sunday, June 20. Furthermore, other components of the partnership with the Adult Swim series includes two new show themed mixes in Wendy’s Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. Additionally, free Wendy’s in-app delivery is on tap.

“Wendy’s is such a great partner, we had to continue our cosmic journey with them. Thanks to them and Coca-Cola, fans can celebrate Rick and Morty Day with a Portal Time Lemon Lime in one hand and a BerryJerryboree in the other. And to quote the wise Rick Sanchez from season 4, we looked right into the bleeding jaws of capitalism and said, yes daddy please.”

Tricia Melton, CMO of Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics

The restaurant chain is a big fan of Rick & Morty.

“We’re big fans of Rick and Morty and continuing another season with our partnership with entertainment powerhouse Adult Swim. We love finding authentic ways to connect with this passionate fanbase and are excited to extend the Rick and Morty experience into our menu, incredible content and great delivery deals all season long.”

Carl Loredo, Chief Marketing Officer for the Wendy’s Company

The two new Coca-Cola Freestyle flavors will be available through August 22. That is the date of the season five finale.

Fans in the Los Angeles area experienced the weekend-long restaurant pop-up at the chain’s Panorama City location. A custom LED drive-thru experience was present. Additionally, a limited-edition Pickle Rick Pickle Frosty was available. To be clear, this was a pickle twist on the Vanilla Frosty.
