Everything We Know About the Starbucks Taylor Swift Collab

Twitter is buzzing about a potential Starbucks Taylor Swift collab. Furthermore, information points to it kicking off, Friday November 12. To be clear, that is also the release date of Red, Taylor’s Version. This will be the artist’s re-recorded version of her hit album. She describes it as “the first time you hear all 30 songs that were meant to go on Red.”

Friday morning, Starbucks posted a teaser for the promotion on Twitter. A hand is seen picking up a red scarf, sunglasses and a Grande Caramel Nonfat Latte (Taylor’s Version) drink. Furthermore, the coffee brand said the “Taylor’s Version” label is available when the drink is ordered.

Customers who are fans of the singer report her music is indeed playing in stores Friday morning.

Red spent 94 weeks on the Billboard album sales charts. And it hit the number one peak position on November 10, 2012. She released her version of Fearless earlier this year. That spent 19 weeks on Billboard’s charts and hit a peak number one position April 24, 2021. Subsequently, expectations are high for Taylor’s new take on Red.

Starbucks has been teasing a Taylor Swift collaboration over the past week. The Seattle based coffee chain’s Twitter profile on Thursday says “On a Friday, in a cafe…” with a red scarf and heart.

Starbucks hints

Of course, that lyric is from closing track on Red, “Begin Again”. In the song’s music video, Swift meets a man in a Parisian cafe and the two roam this city together.
