Kate Winslet’s Mare of Easttown Premieres April 18 on HBO

Mare of Easttown is a new limited series coming to HBO and HBO Max on April 18. Kate Winslet plays Mare Sheehan, a small-town Pennsylvania detective who investigates a local murder as life crumbles around her. Brad Ingelsby (“The Way Back”) is creator and writer. Additionally, Craig Zobel, of HBO’s The Leftovers, directed all seven parts of the story.

Ingelsby is from Pennsylvania and returned to write this new series that takes place in a small town in the state.

The series also stars Guy Pearce, who plays professor who new in town. Evan Peters is a county detective who is called to assist in the case. Mare’s mother is played by Jean Smart, of HBO’s Watchmen.

The limited series will debut Sunday, April 18 at 10:00-11:00 ET/PT on HBO. It will also be available to stream on HBO Max.
