Apple debuts “The Morning Show” trailer for highly anticipated second season – Apple TV+ today revealed the trailer for the second season of the acclaimed and award-winning Apple Original drama series “The Morning Show.” Starring and executive produced by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, the 10-episode second season will debut globally on Friday, September 17, 2021 on Apple TV+ with the first episode, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday.

The SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME first teaser trailer dropped Monday evening. Here’s the summary of the story via Sony Pictures:

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

The film opens in theaters exclusively on December 17, 2021.

Landmark Theatres to Join Lifestyle Tenancy Lineup at Scottsdale Quarter – The new theater will be the chain’s first in Arizona. Scottsdale Quarter (“The Quarter”) is an open-air lifestyle center and mixed-use property located in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The anticipated fall 2021 opening of the 8-screen venue will time perfectly with the onslaught of pictures that are released during the award season cycle and will offer the Scottsdale community the opportunity to see these films in a luxury setting. The theatre, designed by TK Architects, is Landmark’s first theatre in the market.

Nate Rackiewicz Joins Gannett as Chief Data Officer – Gannett announced today that Nate Rackiewicz joins as Chief Data Officer, a newly-created role overseeing the company’s vision, strategy and execution of data, analytics, and science across all business units. In a first for Gannett, Rackiewicz will lead a global team that will implement the company’s enterprise-wide customer identity, data and growth analytics as well as data science and modeling capabilities. He will report to Gannett’s Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer Mayur Gupta.

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. Reports Fourth Quarter and Fiscal 2021 Results –

Results for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2021 reflect the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. For fiscal 2021, the Company reported revenues of $180.4 million, as compared to revenues of $762.9 million in the prior year. In addition, the Company had an operating loss of $450.2 million and an adjusted operating loss of $271.0 million in fiscal 2021, compared to an operating loss of $59.8 million and adjusted operating loss of $43.3 million in the prior year.

For the fiscal 2021 fourth quarter, the Company reported revenues of $99.8 million, as compared to $9.0 million in revenues in the prior year quarter. In addition, the Company had an operating loss of $102.4 million and an adjusted operating loss of $70.0 million in the fiscal 2021 fourth quarter, compared to operating income of $94.4 million and an adjusted operating loss of $103.5 million in the prior year quarter.

August 26 Becomes ESPN Dog Day – Celebrating International Dog Day, ESPN will “raise the woof” with ESPN Dog Day, a full evening of dog-related programming on Thursday, August 26, including dog action sports and an airing of the classic Disney film Turner & Hooch, starring Tom Hanks.

A half-hour Disney-themed American Kennel Club (AKC) Meet the Breeds® will kick off the evening at 6:30 p.m. ET on the ESPN App, followed at 7 p.m. on ESPN2 with ESPN Bark in the Park. The two-hour program will feature dogs competing in spectator-friendly sports including Agility, Diving Dogs, Flyball and Weave Pole.

Continuing on ESPN2, Turner & Hooch will air at 9 p.m. followed at 11 p.m. by the 2020 AKC National Championship event from Orlando, Fla. [ESPN]

TikTok Radio launches on SiriusXM – SiriusXM and TikTok today announced the launch of TikTok Radio (ch. 4), the highly anticipated full time music channel featuring the trending sounds that are redefining pop culture from TikTok. Presented by TikTok creators, tastemakers, top artists, and DJs, TikTok Radio will be available in vehicles and as a streaming channel on the SXM App, desktop, and all connected devices.
