’90s kids rejoice! Saved By The Bell, Fresh Prince, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and now behold Doritos 3D Crunch joining the retro crew. The legendary three dimensional Doritos are back.
Doritos 3D Crunch chips are an updated version of the classic chip. Frito-Lay tells Media News Journal that Doritos 3D has long been one of their most sought after snacks.
“Doritos 3D Crunch is one of our most anticipated product launches ever. What’s exciting is that we didn’t just bring back the original — we’ve evolved it to reflect the snacking trends of a new generation,” said Rachel Ferdinando, SVP and CMO, Frito-Lay North America. “We’re thrilled to introduce a new version at a time when we all could use a small moment of joy.”
The Shapes & Flavors
The chips will still be 3D shaped. The two new bold flavors will be Spicy Ranch and Chili Cheese Nacho.
Ali Landry is Back on Board
When the original Doritos 3D chips were launched in 1998, Frito-Lay created buzz with a Super Bowl ad featuring Ali Landry.
Ali is back on board with the 2020 launch of the updated 3D chips. Known as the “Doritos Girl”, Frito-Lay tells us that her “Laundromat” Super Bowl commercial was one of their most successful launch campaigns.
