Brie Larson introduces her Fortnite squad in a new YouTube video. The Bush Babies consist of the Captain Marvel star, her friend Brody and boyfriend Elijah Allan-Blitz. The Bush Babies name was inspired by a rare outfit in Fortnite, the Bushranger. Furthermore, that outfit was part of Brie’s Fortnite locker in April.
Why the Bushranger? Brie said it was finally a character all three of them “could agree on.”
The Bush Babies trio showed off their custom jackets provided by Fortnite. Brie blames Brody for them playing “hundreds of hours of Fortnite”. Their passion for the Epic Games title was stoked during the pandemic. “We pretty much played all day, everyday,” Brie explains in the video intro.
Brody reveals that the team’s Fortnite moral code is “we have to stick together.” Elijah chimed in and said finding “high ground” was also key. Brie revealed that when helicopters were still in the Battle Royale, they would grab one and fly away, waiting for the end of the battle.
In the video, all three play on the Nintendo Switch platform. That’s not a surprise given that Brie has been featured in Nintendo advertising. One clip describes Fortnite as one of “her favorite Nintendo Switch games.”
One disappointment was that Tessa Thompson hasn’t come on board. Brie had a video with Tessa in April where she showed the Thor: Love and Thunder actress how to play Fortnite.
Brie had piqued Tessa’s interest in the Battle Royale game but, alas, she is not included in the Bush Babies yet. “I might have to hone my skills a little bit before we player together,” Tessa remarked back in April.
