Warner Bros. Games announced that MultiVersus has surpassed over 20 million players since the July 26 Open Beta start. The new free-to-play platform fighter kicked off Season 1 on August 15 with a new Battle Pass. Morty Smith (Rick and Morty) will join the roster on Aug. 23, while Black Adam (DC), Stripe (Gremlins), Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty) and many other heroes and personalities will be added in the coming months.
Furthermore, Warner Bros. Games announced new modes will be coming in Season 1. Those include Classic Arcade and Ranked modes. Existing iconic characters in the game include Harley Quinn, Tom and Jerry, Wonder Woman, Superman and Arya Stark.
Players can utilize the legendary locations such as Batman’s Batcave and Jake and Finn’s Treefort. In addition, play modes include 2v2 cop-op, intense 1v1 or 4-Player free for all.
Voice talent is strong with Matthew Lillard on board as Shaggy. Kevin Conroy voices Batman once again for this game and Maisie Williams reprises Arya Stark. Tapping into WB IP means a vast supply of new faces can join the game.
MultiVersus is available to play for free on PS4, Xbox, Steam and through the Epic Games Store. Furthermore, in the Epic store, MultiVersus has a highliyy rated 4.6 out of 5 stars.
Warner Bros. promises a game regularly updated with new characters, stages, modes, in-game events and skins. Furthermore, every character will feature its own customizable perk loadout. This will change the way you play and synergize with teammates.
