Michael Keaton’s Role in ‘Flash’ Is At Least As Big As Sean Connery’s in ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’

We knew Michael Keaton was returning at Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming ‘Flash’ movie. Furthermore, the actor has been spotted on set in London for the first time. The question remained about how large of a role will the “Birdman” actor have in “The Flash”.

Rumors have been all over the board in recent months. Some speculated the 1989 ‘Batman’ actor would be the Nick Fury of the DC Cinematic Universe. Meanwhile, others, like movie expert John Campea believed Keaton would play a small part. Furthermore, the news of the “Beetlejuice” actor wavering on appearing due to his schedule and COVID-19 concerns led Campea and others to see this as a small, replaceable role.

However, things changed today. Campea, on today’s show, reported that a well placed source said the former AMC Movie News Editor in Chief’s speculation was off the mark. In fact, Keaton’s part was “at least as big as Sean Connery’s in ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”. Therefore, knowing how critical was as Dr. Jones’ father in the “Last Crusade”, Keaton has co-star type of billing in “The Flash”.

In the 1989 movie, the intrepid explorer Indiana Jones sets out to rescue his father (Connery), a medievalist who has vanished while searching for the Holy Grail. Furthermore, this installment is the favorite of the franchise among many fans.

Campea’s source also tells him that we’ll see Keaton “in the suit”. The host gave disclaimers to wait for confirmation from widely read industry sources, but this is what we know today.
